A boisterous, all-ages crowd of pasta lovers pack this energetic Italian spot, where chefs clad in white hats and red scarves keep diners wide-eyed by showing their moves in the busy open kitchen. The menu boasts family-sized portions of hearty traditional fare, from antipasti, chicken and pasta dishes to seafood, steak and wood-fired pizzas. Signature plates include grilled pork chops, lobster ravioli, and penne rustica with shrimp, grilled chicken and smoked prosciutto in cream sauce.

Great food!. A wonderful place to eat. Go during lunch to avoid a wait.

I'd rather eat at a crowded bus station. ...wait I may just have. That's the way I felt eating here. The atmosphere is not just busy it's annoying. Service was horrible. First it took nearly two hours to get in (I am not exagerating) after they claimed about an hour wait. Then once we got seated I felt I had to dodge every waiter that went by and I was sitting down. After another wait they brought out the food for our 4 children (still no food for myself or my wife). Only after our children had FINISHED their food, and they are not fast eaters, did they say our food was "just about up". I can't speak to how good the food was 'cause I took it home and ate it cold. I have never, and will never, go back! The Olive Garden gets my business now!

Best EVER!!!. Macaroni Grill is the best Italian restaurant. The food is delish and more authentic than other restaurants. It's affordable and a great atmosphere. Olive Garden does not even compare to Macaroni Grill. Macaroni Grill should at least be #2.

Crowded & Loud. Another fast-food Italian restaurant. Good for large work groups. Gets loud at lunch-time. Average food. Some days are better than others. Same menu all the time.

A Chain that gets things right. This is a very reliable chain that serves solid food in every market where I've eaten been. It is a shame that Utah law does not let them do the house wine like the rest of the chain because it adds a lot -- even if you don't drink. I think that Carrabas will give it a real run for its money.

The prices are good, the food is good. The package is excellent. It's as much as you can ask from a mid-priced chain. Service is friendly, but inexperienced at times.

Great Eats. Macaroni Grill has great food. But if your not into a lot of flavor (seasoning) you might not enjoy it as much as I do. I've been going there for years (not just in SLC) and I've always had a great experience.
