There's something about the way they freeze the icecream at Subzero that makes it absolutely scrumptious. Contrary to the other reviewer's opinion, I actually like it when the icecream is on the hard side. It doesn't take too long to soften, and you can always request that they freeze it soft or hard (or medium.) Their flavors are really fun as well. My favorite to order is the Supreme (highest fat content) Blackberry with Cheesecake Bits.... SO good. Although it does seem to be geared toward students, it's also very family friendly, and my husband and I love to go there on dates. Yum!
- Pros: delicious ice cream
Another gimicky way to eat icecream

They let you choose what flavor of icecream you want, how fatty you want the icecream (whole milk, frozen yogurt, 2% milk, etc), and what flavors to mix in.
I picked the full fat option because I wanted good icecream. Sorry, I do not remember what milk option that was! And then they freeze the mix and serve it to you. I don't know if it's because of the cryogenics they use to freeze the icecream, but my icecream was super hard. I mean, you want to wolf down icecream and I couldn't! I had to essentially chip away little bites of my icecream. Don't get me wrong, it was still softish, but at the speed one eats icecream, it was frustrating attaining only tiny spoonfulls 'cause it was so frozen.
Oh and maybe don't get any carmely candy bar mixed in. I made that mistake. Because the carmel.... freezes! I don't know why I didn't put that together, but frozen carmel wasn't fun to eat either.
Oh and their website doesn't have a tab that explains what their menu options are. Strange.
The hard icecream was enough that I won't be going out of my way for that icecream again. I like Cold Stone. Best gimick icecream ever.
- Pros: icecream
- Cons: long wait, icecream is hard?
