PLEASE BEWARE. INCREDIBLY DISHONEST. One Hour's technician attempted to cheat and manipulate my elderly grandmother. She has been paying the company a monthly fee for their services. This winter, when her furnace started giving her problems, their technician left her in the cold overnight before arriving the next day to turn on the pilot light (so much for their "one hour" guarantee). He informed her that she needed a $9000 new furnace, and he would be happy to install it for her. Since she had a very nice furnace that should have had a number of good years left, we encouraged her to wait.

A week later, her furnace starting acting up again, and the technician came and began applying pressure again for a new furnace. Alternately, he said he could get a repair part for $500 to fix the problem temporarily. He left, and my grandmother spent a freezing cold night in her house. The technician called her promptly the next morning to offer to install the new furnace that day--oh, and he added "it would probably be good to do the air-conditioning unit while he's at it." My grandmother--a retired schoolteacher who lives on a limited income--thought she had no other choice but to take his advice.

Fortunately, we hired another repair man to come take a look at the furnace that same day. When he arrived he found that the One Hour technician had simply TURNED THE FURNACE OFF the night before, so that my elderly grandmother would be freezing while she considered his offer of a replacement furnace. The new technician also informed us that the faulty part was actually covered under the manufacturer's lifetime warranty, so the furnace repair should be absolutely free. He assured us that the current furnace was one of the best on the market, and it was far from needing to be replaced. I doubt the new one that was being offered to her (at an absurd cost) would have been as good. Our new technician also told us that he had worked for a company similar to this one, and it is a common practice to push a replacement furnace for any machine that is over ten or so years old--even if it isn't necessary. He quit because he felt this practice was unethical, and I agree. I'm so glad we were able to get some reliable help from my grandma before she was cheated by One Hour Heating and Air. I wonder how many other people have been taken for a ride by this fast-talking swindler and his company.

These guys are great. I've used them for years, and just stumbled upon this page and thought I'd share my thoughts. Just recently I had them do an extensive amount of work in my home as we're finishing the basement. The attention to detail and quality work they put in cannot be matched. They were meticulous, and left the space cleaner than they found it. They got the work done faster than they said they would, and it's unbelievable the difference in the way our house is heated now (they replaced the upstairs stuff while doing the downstairs stuff). All of these great things, and they had great pricing to boot. I've referred several friends, and I would recommend anyone in need of HVAC work call these guys. I've had them out for emergency service at about 3am on a Sunday...no extra charge. I was expecting a huge based on the hours....no premium paid for the emergency middle of the night weekend service. They're the best.

I highly recommend One Hour. The entire experience was excellent form calling their office to the service I was given when they came to my home. I have referred them to 4 of my friends.

Great Service! This company cares about their customers. I have been on their membership for a few years now and it doesn't matter who comes to my home they all are very honest and knowledgable. They explain everything to me so that I can understand. They have always worked around my schedule rather than it being me working around theirs. It is comforting to know that I have a company that I can trust to not rip me off.

not recommended. When they answer the phone they say they will be there in one hour or you don't pay a dime. When they actually set up the appointment they tell you a window of 10 to 2. When they come to replace a $129.00 part you will be charged $400.00 and if you refuse, then you are still responsible for $100.00 service charge. Oh yes! They will also try to pressure you into buying a $39.00 a month service call. Which means for the rest of your life you will pay these guys to come over a give your furnace room a sweep.

This is the most un ethical company i know.. For one they do a water test ( not illegal ) just very unethical. furnaces are built to be air tight not water tight. when there employees quit or are let go ( which is a lot) they cheat them on there wages. They do almost anything for a dollar hold your wallets tight. I worked there over three years never once was drug tested or back ground tested so as the owner says at the beginning it is just false.

don't expect efficiency. I'm a nice lady and I don't usually complain but the people at one hour sent us a letter about a springtime deal. We were in the midst of sorting bids, and slowed things down to invite them to bid. One guy came, said he didn't know enough to answer our questions, so sent his boss. Fair enough. Appreciated his honesty. Boss came, same thing: he didn't know answers and wanted to send his partner. When the 3rd guy came, he had no information from the prior to visits, we had to start all over, and then when i shooed him out after 45 minutes, he seemed offended. And they didn't even bother to call and submit a bid.

Customer for life. As a senior citizen it is nice to find a company that I can trust. They do background checks and drug testing. The service guy was clean cut and wore shoe covers so that he would not get my floors dirty. He explained everything so that I understood it, and his price was fair. I would recommend them any time.

Bad experience is outweighed by mediocre service. Nothing was remarkably good or bad about the services performed, although the attitude, professionalism, and odor leads me to believe that One-Hour doesn't need repeat clients

Great job, fair price, excellent service. I had called another company, they came, and their estimate was nearly $4000. I called One Hour, they came, total price was $2500 and they worked with me on payment terms! I have been very pleased with their service, and appreciate not getting ripped off!
